Dr. Nicholas Garcia
Dr. Nicholas Garcia joins us as our Aesthetic Surgery fellow for the 2023/2024 year. He is a fully trained plastic surgeon with an extensive and accomplished academic training background. Dr. Garcia completed his undergraduate education at the University of Florida, a consistently top university and currently the #1 public university in the country. He then received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he rotated throughout multiple Chicago hospitals including Cook Country Medical Center, a world-renowned trauma facility, and completed clinical rotations with Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s physicians.
Upon completion of medical school, he joined the University of Miami general surgery residency where he completed his internship and was awarded “Outstanding Intern of the Year”, an award given to the highest performing intern throughout the entire hospital system. He completed his general surgery residency at Kendall Regional Medical Center, a busy level I trauma center, where he graduated with nearly 2,000 operations.
Dr. Garcia was then accepted to the University of Minnesota Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship, where he completed a three-year fellowship mentored by many award-winning plastic and reconstructive surgeons. While in Minnesota, Dr. Garcia scored within the top 90% of all plastic surgery trainees and has passed the American Board of Plastic Surgery written board exam.
